Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Debuts in India, Starting at ₹18,999 with Exynos 1330, 90Hz AMOLED
Samsung has officially rolled out the Galaxy A17 5G in India, stepping in as the successor to last year’s Galaxy A16 5G. While the display specs remain familiar—a vibrant 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and Infinity-U notch—the internals have seen a notable upgrade. For Indian users, Samsung swaps out the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 for its own Exynos 1330 chipset, promising better performance and efficiency.
The camera setup sticks to the tried-and-tested formula: a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. Selfie lovers get a 13MP front camera. On the software front, the Galaxy A17 5G ships with Android 15 layered with Samsung’s One UI 7. Impressively, Samsung is committing to six major OS upgrades and six years of security updates—great news for long-term users.
